I am now officially allowed to do Christmas blog posts, I made myself wait until the end of November and then I got super busy so I decided I would begin for one in December! I decided to do a 12 Days of Blogmas for you this year! I thought I would obviously start with a Christmas playlist of all my favourite songs, there might be some of the same songs by different artists and maybe by some artists you’ve never heard of so here it is. So on the 1st Day of Blogmas, Alice gave to you – A Christmas Playlist full of favourites!
Rend Collective’s Christmas Album is currently my go to for Christmas songs because they’re Christmas hymns with a bit of a difference to how they’d normally be sang and stuff. I just think they’re a great band that do stuff really well and that includes Christmas.
Michael Bublé will always have a special place in my Christmas and it’s for no other reason that he’s brilliant! I particularly love his ‘Cold December Night’ his own Christmas song. I think it covers everything required of a Christmas, it’s jolly but kind covers a bit more of a realisation of life and growing up at Christmas!
I was originally looking for ‘Holly and the Ivy’ by Kate Rusby because it’s such a beautiful version so go and youtube that version for an extra Christmas goodness song. When I was looking for that I was reminded about Yorkshire Merry Christmas and thought it was very apt for me to you guys!
Then we hit the MUST HAVE Christmas songs in my eyes! Whether it’s the music channel on in the background when you’re putting the Christmas Decorations, or if it’s while you’re walking around the extraordinarily busy shops, these songs are always going to be part of Christmas, no matter how old they get or you get!
I’m so glad I found some more acoustic songs to some that I had on last year, they were just a bit too lively for me when I was listening to it, so I’ve found these little gems by Jack Johnson, Hudson Taylor and Gavin James.
Righty, Merry listening and Don’t forget to come again tomorrow for the 2nd Day of 12 Days of Blogmas!
Let me know your all time favourite Christmas song down in the comments!
