Day 9 of blogmas and it’s time for a recipe. I thought I would share with you my Shortbread recipe. I love shortbread and I think it’s perfect all year round but Christmas Tree shaped ones are certainly THE best for this time of the year!
The reason I love Shortbread so much is because of how simple it is to make and how little ingredients you need to make it:
Decorations of your choice.
Add the sugar and the butter to a large mixing bowl and cream together to make a nice smooth mixture.
Slowly add the flour to the mixture and stir together well.
Squeeze the ingredients together to make a ball.
Allow to chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Choose the shape you want your Shortbread.
Roll out the mixture so it is the same thickness all the way around.
Cut out the shapes and continue until are all the mixture is used.
Add to a baking tray.
Put into the oven on 190 degrees or Gas Mark 5 for 15-20 minutes or until Golden Brown.
Allow to cool and decorate as you wish.
It’s such a simple recipe and it can all be done in less than hour!
