2017 Films

I love the cinema as much as the next person but one thing I certainly do love it brand new spanking films that follow on from a series or even spark a new series off. I thought I would share with you a quick breakdown of the films I’m looking forward to in 2017 and why!

The Lego: Batman Movie – 10th February

I’ve played all of the lego batman games and when I heard that there was going to be a movie I got very excited! I then watched The Lego Movie and saw that Batman was a character in that and it was clearly that character the movie was going to be based upon not the character out of the video games. Having watched the trailer for it, it looks like it’s going to be very funny and could end up being a good one.

Logan – 2nd March

I couldn’t cope with this trailer. The final wolverine film with Hugh Jackman in. I watched Nerdist New’s  breakdown of the trailer and with the option of so many things to be happening or happen during the film. Thankfully theres not long to wait because I’m so excited for it! I’m not ready to say goodbye to Hugh Jackman though.

Beauty and The Beast – 17th March

AHHH! If there is one movie I’m excited for the most it’s got to be the living action Beauty and The Beast. I’ve seen so many clips and pictures and it looks like it’s going to be amazing! Emma Watson as Belle couldn’t have been choosen any better and I think I’m finally going to see her as something other than Hermione Granger.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 – 28th April

This is another film that if you haven’t seen the trailer I really recommend you all watch it. Also, the first film is a most. I was very much uninterested in the first film when it was released but after watching a few times and enjoying the soundtrack so much I’m more of a fan now. The only thing John and I are thinking for the full film is that Earth needs to be visited for a Vol.3 and more music!

Baywatch – 26th May

I have to admit the only reason I want to see this film is because it’s got Zac Efron in, along with the fact that he’s going to be shirtless a couple of times. I mean what else do you need from a film?! Happy Zac Efron film!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Deadmen Tell No Lies – 26th May

Having seen all of the previous Pirates of the Caribbeans and loving them all except number 4. I’m kind of hoping this film will bring it back and continue my love for the films. I can watch and rewatch the first 3 again and again and never get bored so I’m hopefully it can be done again!

Wonder Woman – 2nd June

This is one film I’m pretty sceptical about. Having seen Batman vs Superman last year, I genuinely thought the wonder womans character would have been completely different to what she was. Maybe because she wasn’t the main character and wasn’t really required to contribute too much, I’m hoping I’ll be happily having my thoughts changed when this film is released and there’s no other batman for her to compete with.

Cars 3 – 17th June

If you’ve not seen this trailer I urge you to watch it right now! It’s clearly about Lighting McQueen and racing again rather than featuring Mater as the main character. It’s also going to be interesting to see what’s happened regarding the energy source for the cars and Lighting McQueen – I think it’s going to be interesting to see if anyone has had ‘baby cars’ if that’s possible or theres new cars within it or what. I can kind of imagine Lightning becoming like Doc Hudson but we shall see!

Spider-man – Homecoming – 7th July

I’m not a huge spider-man fan but I was certainly won over by the new one in Captain America: Civil War last year and I’m excited to see the story of how he becomes and I think they’re really trying to capture the fact that he is still really young and learning stuff throughout the film which will be fantastic!

 Dunkirk – 21st July

I’m not normally a fan of war movies but with the cast what it is how can you not be. Cillian Murphy is a bloody brilliant actor and to see him acting alongside Tom Hardy again after Peaky Blinders. It’ll be interesting to see Harry Styles acting in this movie especially alongside the other two amazing actors! Again watching the trailer made me slightly excited for it!

Kingsman: The Golden Circle – 29th September

I feel like I was late to the part with the Kingsman film the first time around but since I watched it i’ve been really hoping there was another film and there is and I can’t wait to see it! I love a good spy film but this is certainly a different kind of spy movie and I think that makes it even better than a regular old spy film. I’ve heard people say it’s like a YA James bond but I’m don’t agree that much!

Thor – Ragnarok – 27th October

A brand new Marvel film makes me excited but from what I’ve heard I’m not going to like the end of this film. I’m certainly in need of rewatching the previous ones, with us fully into Phase 3 now it’s certainly interesting at the point we are at. One thing John and I are both excited for is the return visit from Hulk!

Justice League – 17th November

I want to be excited for the film, I really do but I don’t think it’s going to match The Avenger Films that I really really love! I’m excited to see all of the new characters that haven’t been in other films Cyborg, Aquaman. I also think it’s another chance for Wonder woman to try and impress me again.

Pitch Perfect 3 – 22nd December

Who doesn’t love a good Pitch Perfect Film. I’m really interested to see how this is going to work seeing as the majority of the original barden bellas should have left and graduated now so is it going to be a brand new group of girls for us to learn to love or will Becca and Fat Amy be making a fantastic return or being doing another year of college?! I can’t wait to find out!

Looking for Alaska – TBC

A new John Green film is making me super excited but I better get reading and read the book before the film!
