2017 Netflix Choices

Netflix Choices 2017

I had such a great response to my 2017 films I thought I would share with you a Netflix edition. I love watching  Netflix and I think thats obvious the times I tell you all I’ve been Watching Netflix. So I thought it was only right to do this post for you all.

A Series of Unfortunate Events – 13th January

I loved the ASUE film released in 2004 and when I heard there was going to be a series I got very excited. I got more excited for it when I realised that Neil Patrick Harris was playing Count Olaf. NPH’s an amazing actor in lots of different roles and I think he could be amazing in this role. If you’ve not heard of the series – three children become orphaned early on in the series. It’s then the story of them living with ‘aunts and uncles’ they’ve never met before, who inevitably die one way or another. It’ll be interesting to see how it comes across in the series after seeing the film so many times. I’m regretting not reading the books when I was younger because I’d have liked to have some aspect in my mind about what to expect from it all.

Santa Clarita Diet – 3rd February

A comedy starring Drew Barrymore – how can I resist? Based on two retailers living in LA something apparently changes. According to websites (I’ve done my research) the big change is death so I’m completely oblivious to what’s going to happen in this programme but I think it’s going to be good! John and I watched the trailer for this the other day and it looks brilliant! I’m not normally a fan of Zombie based things but I think this is different!

Iron Fist – 17th March

With how much John and I enjoyed Luke Cage there’s no way we’re not counting down for Iron Fist. With the obvious need for ‘some’ of the same cast to be in the two series. I can’t wait to see how they make the move and continue with the story line between the different series. The character has bad-ass kung fu and martial arts skills I think this could get interesting. It’s going to be like Jack Chan and I’m assuming there’s going to be an origin story included with the series just like the others but I wonder how long it’ll take to get round to it.

Pretty Little Liars – April

With Series 6 ending the way it did, there are so many different questions that we need to be answered. There are the big questions of are: Aria and Ezra getting married after that kiss,  And that massive surprise from Mary has got to lead to something! I can’t wait to see what happens and I can’t cope with the fact it’s going to be the last series. How am I going to cope with the massive gap in my life that is missing PLL?!

OITNB Series 5

OITNB normally makes an appearance late May, early June and I’m hoping that this year is no different. to I’m not sure how long I can wait for it with the way it ended on that massive cliffhanger. I really want to know what’s happening down in Lichfield! I also can’t wait to get more back stories for some the inmates. I’m pretty sure Piper’s time in prison should be coming to an end soon but I’m not ready for the show to end just yet.

Defenders

Just like Iron Fist it’s another Marvel series and will include the other main characters from the other Netflix Series. The come together in order to ‘Defend’ the earth as the name would suggest. It’ll  be interesting to see how they manage to get them all in the same area at the same time. I’m also looking forward to seeing them work as a team because some of the characters are certainly not team players and I think that’s what’s going to make it even more interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing whether this series works along side the new episodes in there own series because they’re all coming back too! There’s going to be some new bad guys as well so that’s exciting.

There we have it. A quick break down of the series’ I’ve heard are coming already. Most of the series there are new series but there are other things as well. Jane The Virgin Series 3 which should be arriving soon in the UK. I’ve also heard Designated Survivor is coming back with a Series 2 already but that is what I like to hear things coming back quickly. That means theres not as much suspense when it does come back!

This post is a little bit late because Series of Unfortunate Events is already here. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for a review in my next What I’m Watching.

Let me know what your looking forward this year?!
